Terézia Mora was born 1971 in Sopron/Hungary. Since 1990 she has been living in Berlin/Germany. Mora is a prose writer and a translator from Hungarian, she translates works by Péter Esterházy among others. Occasionally she teaches writing classes, for example at Deutsches Literaturinstitut Leipzig. For her literary work she was honored with several prizes, among others the prestigious Ingeborg Bachmann Preis in 1999, the Leipziger Buchpreis in 2005 and the Deutscher Buchpreis in 2013.

Recent works include Das Ungeheuer, novel, 2013; Nicht sterben, poetry lecture in Frankfurt, 2015; Die Liebe unter Aliens, narratives, 2016.
