Born 1965 in Wiedenbrück, raised in Glarus (Switzerland).

Numerous dramas, prose, radio plays and films. 1990 novel “Fäustchen”. 1994 essay “Der Schwan in Stücken” published by Ammann Verlag. The stage version under the same title had its premiere 1995 at the Schauspiel, Cologne and was shown at many venues. 2000 novel “Irinas Buch der leichtfertigen Liebe”, 2002 novel “Die Erfindung der Welt” and 2005 essays “Heimweh”. Other stage plays: “Surfer” 1991; “Die apokalyptische Show von den vier Flüssen Manhattans” 1996; “Die Bienenkönigin” i.V.;”Revolution mit Hund” 1998; “Revolution mit Hund, die Zweite” 1999; “Shakespeare Love Songs” 2001 and “Dostojewskij Verbrechen und Strafe” 2001. Radio plays: “Johann & Johanna” 1986; “Ehrenbürger Böhm” 1988; “Tamilen nach Auschwitz” 1991; “Zeitalter des Esels” 1992; “Der gepökelte Lenin” 1994; “Die kleine Oper vom Herbstmondfächer” (CD with book) 1996; “Dreigroschenkabinett” 1997; “Quatemberkinder und wie das Vreneli die Gletscher brünnen machte” 1998. Films: “Die Beule” (short film) 2001 and “Das erste Bild” (short film) 2005. Currently he is working on two long films, “Quatemberkinder” und “Das Meer”.
