Vedran Gligo is a self-taught DIY hacker/artist/cultural event organizer living and working in Zagreb/Croatia.

Strongly applying open source principles in everyday life and practice, he works to empower the local community by holding free and open digital workshops in Zagreb’s Autonomous Cultural Center through the hacklab01 project which he co-founded in 2009.

Practicing in the fields of open source, he is promoting the adoption of GNU/Linux, glitch art, large scale online collaborative art, independent culture production, (h)ac(k)tivism (…). Vedran Gligo is also co-curator and co-founder of /’fubar/ ‒ a yearly glitch-bound multimedia participatory event held in Zagreb.

His latest artistic work was recently included in several group exhibitions such as the 25th Slavonian biennale, Gallery of Fine arts, Osijek, Croatia with Pivilion: ~ co-op ~, as part of Format C art organization and initially supported by the Schlosspost Web Residency: Decentralization of Internet Art, from December 2016 to Februrary 2017.
