Andreas Lewin

Born 1968 in Ludwigshafen.

Studied at the Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt and at the University of Arts in Berlin. Studied directing at the European Film College in Denmark. Active as actor, director, filmmaker and acting teacher.

Selected projects: “Er spielte seinen Schatten mit. Der Schauspieler Klaus Kammer.” (documentary, 75 min., Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg, 2003), “Ich möcht’ ein solcher werden wie einmal ein andrer gewesen ist” (theatre performance and video installation, 2003), “Rotes Gold aus Villány” (documentary about inhabitants of an old Swabian village in the South of Hungary before joining the EU, in preparation, 2003), “Fritz Kortner” (documentary in production, RBB/SWR, 2003/2004), “Thomas Holtzmann” (documentary in preparation, Bayrischer Rundfunk, 2003/2004).

Fellow of the NIPKOW program (program of the EU and the Filmboard Berlin-Brandenburg for film makers, 2000), fellow of the Academy of Arts, Berlin (2002).
