Jens Hillje, born in 1968, grew up in Milano, Munich and Landshut.
1989-94 he studied applied cultural sciences in Perugia, Hildesheim and Berlin.
1990-94 he worked as an actor, author and director with independent theater groups in and at the University of Hildesheim.
1994-96 theater projects with children and adolescents.
1996 dramatic producer for the BAT/ Festwochen production “Recherche Faust/Artaud” (Director: Thomas Ostermeier).
1996-99 Co-director and dramatic producer of the Baracke des Deutschen Theaters.
Jens Hillje is a member of the artistic directorial team and head dramatic producer at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, Berlin since September 1999.
