Born in Budapest/Hungary in 1989.

Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss is a freelance photographer based in Budapest/Hungary. He holds BA and MA degrees in photography from the University of Kaposvár/Hungary (2015) and the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest (2017). He has been teaching photography at workshops and art camps since 2010.

A member of the Studio of Young Photographers (2013 –) and the Studio of Young Artists Association (2016 –), he has been collaborating with PAD Foundation since 2019.

His works have been exhibited at prestigious galleries, museums and festivals, including the New Budapest Gallery, Budapest, Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center, Budapest, Art Market Budapest, Gallery SKC, Rijeka/Croatia, C/O Berlin Book Days, Berlin/Germany, Hegyvidék Galéria, Budapest, Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeum, Budapest and Faur Zsófi Galéria, Budapest. At the moment, he is collaborating with PAD on the upcoming edition of OFF-Biennale Budapest.

In recent years, his work has been funded by the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center, asa nisi masa gallery – GIF Artists program, OFF Bratislava, Mai Manó Ház and the Metro Photo Challenge. He is one of the three candidates shortlisted for the Capa Grand Prize 2020.
