Born 1964 in Duisburg. Education as a woodcarver in the Odenwald. Studied at the Academy of Design (Hochschule für Gestaltung) in Offenbach and at the Academy of Fine Arts (Kunstakademie) in Düsseldorf. Works as an artist and a filmmaker. Her works have been shown internationally since 1993, including: “Mahlzeit” (1993), “Zwischen vier und sechs” (1997/98), “Das schlafende Mädchen” (2001); as well as screened on television (arte, 3 sat). Her films have been shown in several exhibitions, including: “Trendwände” (Kunstraum, Düsseldorf,1999), “Get the balance” (Kampnagel, Hamburg, 2001), “Freizeit” (Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, 2001), “Familienbild” (NGBK, Berlin, 2001) and “PPP” (Aukland, New Zealand, 2001). Prizes and grants include: the “Eisenstein” (International Festival of Short Films Wilhelmshaven (1998), DG BANK art grant (for moving images, 2000-01) and

HAP-Grieshaber prize of the VG Bild-Kunst (2001). With her film “the sleeping girl”, she won the prize “Norman 2002” of the filmwinter festival in Stuttgart 2002. In 2003 she presented again some of her films at the Stuttgart’s “Filmwinter”.
