Born 1977 in Miami, Florida.

Studied music at Yale and Columbia University. Taught at the Columbia University (2000-2003). Currently working as a composer and media artist.

Recent projects include “JP Morgan Chase Kids” (Digital Movement and Sound Project, NY, 2001-2002), “The late Hour” (for Royaumont Voix Nouvelles, France, 2003), “NAG” (software Art commission from turbulence.org, 2003), “Leroy Anderson Went to Harvard” (for the So Percussion Group, NY, 2003).

He received the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award (2000) and was nominated for the Transmediale Award (2002).

During the fellowship, Jason Freeman will work on the development of the Auracle Project.

He is currently an assistant professor in the music department at Georgia Institute of Technology.
