Born 1979 in Bern/Switzerland.

Till Wyler von Ballmoos works in Copenhagen/Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. He studied violoncello at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Bern, which he concluded with a concert diploma in 2004. At the same time he was a student of theater sciences, arts, and media at Züricher Hochschule der Künste, Switzerland, under Prof. A. Kotte and Prof. T. Müllenbach. 2006–2011 he studied music theater direction at the Bayerischen Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich/Germany.

He develops projects for music theater and directs at amongst others Københavns Musikteater, Copenhagen, Münchner Kammerspiele, Badischen Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Germany, and at Konzert Theater Bern. He also participates in internationales Theaterfestival CPH Stage, Copenhagen and Münchener Biennale – Festival für neues Musiktheater.

His direction of Der Tod und das Mädchen – ein Wiederhall after a text by Ariel Dorfmann received the award for best directing at the Bayerische Theatertage 2011. The music theater The Navidson Records after a novel by M. Z. Danielewski will premiere as the winning project of the Internationale Plattform Neues Musiktheater at the Münchener Biennale. Till Wyler von Ballmoos furthermore received the contribution prize of the canton Bern and the residency of the Inteatro Festival Academy (IFA), Ancona/Italy.
