In conjunction with the exhibition »Architecture & ...« the ensemble]h[iatus presents compositions by Peter Jakober and Jennifer Walshe as well as improvisations under the topic of »Architecture & ... Sound«.
The ensemble]h[iatus stands out thanks to their members being experienced in performing as well improvisation. Instead of simply interpreting contemporary repertoires ensemble]h[iatus offers its audience a proceeding experience by continously continuously combining both diciplines. The concert oscillates between the consistancy and the contradiction of performance and improvisation revealing that the two not necessarily have to be contradictive.
ensemble]h[iatus shares with its audience a unique vision concerning contemporary music which is considered to be originated not only by those who compose it but moreover by those who play it. The improvisations of the ensemble will be complemented mainly by works of the composers Peter Jakober, Vienna/Austria and Jennifer Walshe, Dublin/Ireland.
