What are the working conditions for artists in the respective partner countries of the Eastern European network and how important are independant art scenes in Central and Eastern European countries? What are the advantages and possibilities of an exihibition which allows processes of change during the exhibition period with regard to the participating artists but also the visitors?
The first exhibition of Akademie Schloss Solitude’s new exhibition series »Horizons« with current works of fellows from the Eastern European Network of the Akademie closes with an online talk and panel discussion. The participating artists and current Solitude fellows Anca Benera & Arnold Estefán, András Blazsek, Krasimira Butseva, Barbara Gryka, Jasmina Hanf & Karolina Kaltschnee, as well as Luana Lojić will talk about opportunities of a work-in-progress exhibition, the importance of independent art scenes in Central and Eastern European countries, and will discuss working conditions for artists in the respective partner countries of the Eastern European Network.
The evening starts with a welcome address by Elke aus dem Moore, director of the Akademie and a review of the exhibition by curator Gloria Aino Grzywatz.
