Horizons Ausstellung

Design: Stegmeyer Fischer Creative Studio

Horizons is an open-format exhibition series which gives revealing insights into the artistic productions of fellowship holders. The first part of this new exhibition series is dedicated to Akademie Schloss Solitude’s Eastern European network, which focuses on an exchange with independent art scenes in Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Hungary.

The open format is intended to make artistic creative processes visible and give both fellows and visitors the opportunity to exchange ideas. All visitors are warmly invited to familiarize themselves with new artistic perspectives and broaden their horizons.

Fellowship holders from Bulgaria/UK, Germany, Croatia, Poland, Romania and Slovakia/Hungary are participating in the exhibition.

Curated by Gloria Aino Grzywatz.

The exhibition will kick off with an online talk with two guests from Warsaw on December 9, 2021, at 7.30 p.m. Ika Sienkiewicz-Nowacka and Karolina Grzywnowicz will be discussing survival strategies, the power of the powerless, and care and hospitality as forms of resistance. How can you preserve humanity in times of social, political and/or ecological turmoil?

The talk will start with a welcome address by Elke aus dem Moore and an introduction by curator Gloria Aino Grzywatz.
