After having celebrated the annual Sommerfest for 20 years, the Akademie invites all partner institutions on the Schloss premises to participate in a joint Solitude Day! From 11 am to 9 pm you can go for guided tours through the Akademie, the Schloss and the Graevenitz museum. There will also be concerts, readings, and much much more.

from 1 pm every hour: Public guided tours through the current exhibitions, studios and commonly used rooms of the AKADEMIE

from 2:30 pm: Readings in the SCHEUNE

2:30 pm: HAMED TAHERI reads from his new book jak. In German.

3:30 pm: LAURYNAS KATKUS reads from his book Kabuff which was published by merz&solitude in April 2011. In German and English.

4:30 pm: LINA MOUNZER reads from her book The Girl in the Red Beret. In German and English.

5:30 pm: VIPUL RIKHI reads from The Archetype as well as new poems. In German and English.

Barbara Stoll reads all German texts.

The Vinca Quartet plays works by Janácek, Mozart and Beethoven in the Kuppelsaal of Schloss Solitude.

Admission: 15 euros/reduced price 10 euros, not including public transportation
