Born 1975 in Tabriz/Iran.

Hamed Taheri graduated in electronics at the KNT University in Teheran/Iran in 1997. He works as a theater director and author.

Recently, Taheri realized his play Femmina Balba at the Theaterhaus in Stuttgart as part of the Eclat Festival für Neue Musik 2007. In 2006 his play Avenir! Avenir!, a cooperation with the Swedish composer Dror Feiler, premiered in Stuttgart during the ISCM World New Music Festival in Stuttgart. Later, the play was shown at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin.

Other works: Home is in our past, staged in Teheran in 2003 and at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin in 2004; The Blacks by Jean Genet, shown in Teheran in 1999, in Parma/Italy in 2000, and at the Theater an der Ruhr in 2001.

He held lectures at the National School of Drama in New Delhi/India and at the International Laboratory »Lab in Transit« at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (both in 2006).
