The Akademie Schloss Solitude is a foundation under public law of the state of Baden-Württemberg based in Stuttgart, Germany, which supports young artists with its international and transdisciplinary fellowship program. Architecture, fine arts, performing arts, design, literature, music/sound, time-based media are represented, as well as humanities, social sciences, and economics.
Since opening its doors in 1990, the Akademie has supported more than 1,700 fellows from over 120 countries. Internationally, the Akademie Schloss Solitude is regarded as one of the most important and innovative funding institutions for artists.
The employment location is Stuttgart, with the expectation of constant presence.
The Director of Akademie Schloss Solitude is appointed for a period of five years. Reappointment is possible. Remuneration is provided within the framework of a non-tariff service contract.
