Solitude Alumna Mara-Johanna Kölmel Appointed Curator of Contemporary Art at Kunstmuseum Bonn

Congratulations to Solitude alumna Mara-Johanna Kölmel on her new position as Curator of Contemporary Art at the Kunstmuseum Bonn! Since the beginning of September, she has been responsible for the museum’s contemporary art program and its 21st-century collection.

For more than 15 years, Kölmel has developed exhibitions, research projects, and educational programs at the intersection of art, technology, and society. In her curatorial and academic work, she focuses particularly on post-digital art and the interplay between technological developments, artistic practice, and broader social issues.

In Bonn, she aims to connect the collection with current social debates and to develop new exhibition formats together with the museum’s team.
