Mediating between the human sciences and the design of the built environment, her interests and research work are situated at the confluence of landscape studies, anthropology, and geography. Interested in methodologies that aim to soften the strict demarcation between quantitative and qualitative/descriptive data, Saadia Mirza’s research projects involve techniques encompassing videography and mapping. Her most recent publications seek to engage the particularities of human-environment interactions and the relationships between land, people, and place within the context of urbanism and the built environment.
