The Akademie Schloss Solitude warmly invites you to this year’s summer edition of Open Solitude on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 2 to 10 pm. Twenty-three interdisciplinary artists, researchers, and practitioners from more than fifteen countries open their living and working studios and come together to create a diverse program of exhibitions, performances, screenings, presentations, and conversations.

With Miriam Hillawi Abraham, Tini Aliman, Abdul Halik Azeez, Jean Borgatti, Julio Cann González & Anri Okada, Caroline Douville, Motaz Al Habbash, Christoffer Horlitz, Eyad Abou Kasem, Piloya Irene, Bongile Gorata Lecoge-Zulu, Andy Lee, Anna Lublina, Benigno Mangovo, Tweyapewa Ndapandula Mbendeka, Marie Skeie, Rencontres Plurielles (Orakle Ngoy & Magali Dougoud), Kiana Rezvani, Philo Tsoungui & Tia Morgen, and Gift Uzera.

Open Solitude invites visitors to immerse themselves in the fellows’ current projects and evolving artistic processes, and to enter a space shaped by personal exchange and creative encounters. Across three floors in the two Akademie buildings, the open studios unfold as places of exploration, reflection, and shared imagination.

Visitors are welcome to come and go at any time – admission is free.
Food trucks in the outdoor area will provide refreshments.

The Fellows and the Akademie team look forward to your visit!

NOTICE

The current heatwave has not spared the Solitude studios: Due to the high temperatures, the short guided studio tours have been cancelled. Conditions are expected to be particularly hot on the upper floors, for visitors, fellows, and staff alike.

All open studios can be explored independently from 2 pm to 10 pm.

We have prepared for the high temperatures and will provide ample shade, refreshments, and opportunities to cool down.

We look forward to welcoming you and hope you have a great summer day at Solitude.

The Conférencier Lasse Lehmann guides the audience through the program.
