On Thursday, March 19, Akademie Schloss Solitude opened the second series of exhibitions in 2015. Works of current fellows in the disciplines literature, design, music/sound, lighting engineering and performing arts will be presented. With a bookpresentation by Bill Dietz and a performance by Nestór García Díaz und Cyriaque Villemaux at the night of the opening.
From March 11–14, 18–20 and April 2–4 at 8 p.m. Solitude fellow Anna Gschnitzer’s new play Modellsimulation mit Pfau will be presented in Fluxus (Calwer Passage). Together with director Marie Bues and ensemble, a site-specific play for private and public space evolves, which simulates in the Fluxus of Calwer Passage in Stuttgart a future city situated between individualism and community, consumption and art, investors and young creatives.
The symposium »Calculation and Aesthetics« seeks to explore the relations between mathematical and aesthetical ways of thinking, and their encounter in visual arts, music, and literature. Together with scientists from various disciplines, fellows of Akademie Schloss Solitude will discuss the creativity of the mathematical, the fascination with the formal, and the limits of mathematical practices.
